42 year old Arturo Rivera Olivera, former political hopeful with the Partido Movimiento Ciudadano (Citizen Movement Party) for the municipality of Metlatónoc, in Guerrero, Mexico was found dead with hands tied behind his back, throat slashed and genitals mutilated. His corpse was discovered on the bed of his Nissan truck on Calle Tláloc, in la colonia Contlalco, in the city of Tlapa.
Victim’s wife reported that Arturo called her home saying that he was going to pick up his truck, fetch something to eat and then come back home. But he never did.
Motive for his brutal murder is unknown, as are the identities of the perpetrators.
